Ingredients

1 cup toor dal (arhar dal)

2 tbsp ghee

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 onion, finely chopped

2 tomatoes, finely chopped

1 tsp DG1 Garlic Powder

½ tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp red chili powder

Salt to taste

Fresh coriander, chopped
Directions

Pressure cook dal with turmeric and salt until soft, mash lightly.

Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds and onion, sauté till golden.

Add tomatoes, red chili powder, and DG1 Garlic Powder, cook till oil separates.

Pour this tadka into cooked dal, simmer for 5 minutes.

Garnish with coriander and serve with steamed rice or jeera rice.
